If you have home insurance, bank card insurance or travel insurance that covers recreational activities, we recommend checking the terms and conditions before the tour.
Safety
Riding an e-scooter is a great experience, but it is not a game.News reports often feature accidents caused by irresponsible or unsafe scooter use. Our tours are different. Most of the route follows cycle paths and low-traffic, safe roads.
Before departure, we provide a short safety briefing and practice session, giving participants the opportunity to become familiar with the scooters.Anyone who follows basic traffic rules and the instructions of the tour guide can complete the tour safely. The pace is always adjusted to the group and its slowest participant, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the tour safely and comfortably. We stay together throughout the entire tour, allowing us to provide assistance whenever needed. For safety matters and traffic rules, we follow the principles of the proposed new Hungarian traffic regulations. Our scooters are classified as low-powered e-scooters:
Maximum speed: 25 km/h
Helmet use is mandatory
Helmets are provided by us and are cleaned before every tour, with fresh, replaceable inner padding
Minimum age: 12 years
Alcohol and recreational drugs: ZERO TOLERANCE
The applicable traffic rules are generally the same as those for bicycles. For safe handling, the scooters may only be used by participants weighing up to 110 kg.For safety reasons, closed-toe shoes are recommended.
Participation is not permitted while wearing flip-flops or footwear from which the foot may easily slip out, such as open sandals or similar. In the event of prolonged rain, storms or other adverse weather conditions, the tour may be postponed at the discretion of the tour guide.

USEFUL INFORMATION
Who is this tour for?
This tour is ideal for families, couples, groups of friends and active seniors who enjoy spending time outdoors, discovering new places and trying an environmentally friendly way of exploring the area.
Can children join the tour?
Absolutely. Participants aged 12 and over are welcome.
However, anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The tour guide is responsible for leading the tour, while supervision of minors remains the responsibility of the accompanying adult.
Starting & finishing point and time
Recommended start and finish location: Tobruk Beach Car Park, Balatonfűzfő, every day at 09:00 AM and 07:00 PM (19:00).
There is free parking nearby, as well as a beach and a buffet, making it a great place to spend some time before or after the tour.
Tobruk Beach is a quiet, family-friendly beach.
At SZABI BÜFÉ, you can try what many locals consider the best "lángos" in the world, as well as a variety of other meals for lunch or dinner.
The buffet can be accessed both from the beach and from outside the beach area.A door-to-door tour with a custom starting and finishing location may also be possible if it is close to the tour route. This requires prior arrangement.
The only downside is that you might miss out on the "lángos".
Please contact us if you are interested.
What should you bring?
° Drinking water or other non-alcoholic beverages
° Sunglasses, preferably close-fitting cycling glasses to protect against insects
° Weather-appropriate clothing, preferably close-fitting and, if possible, long-sleeved, for protection against insects and sunburn
° Sunscreen
° A fully charged mobile phone (if you forget, don't worry – we'll have a power bank available)
° A photo ID suitable for identification, as the tour includes short sections on public roads
What kind of footwear is recommended?
Comfortable, stable footwear is recommended.
Most participants find sneakers or lightweight hiking shoes the most comfortable choice.
Participation is not permitted in flip-flops or footwear from which the foot can easily slip out, such as open sandals or similar.
What kind of route can you expect?
Most of the tour takes place on cycle paths and good-quality paved roads.
The route may also include short and easy forest and gravel sections, adding a little extra adventure to the experience.
Can you use your own helmet or scooter?
We provide comfortable helmets with freshly cleaned, replaceable inner padding before every tour.
However, if you prefer to use your own helmet, that is perfectly fine.
The situation is different with scooters. Since we cannot verify the technical condition, reliability or battery range of a privately owned scooter, we cannot accept responsibility for it.
Any technical issue could affect not only your experience but also the safety and enjoyment of the entire group.
For this reason, own scooters cannot be used on the tour.
What happens if the minimum number of participants is not reached?
The standard tour requires a minimum of four participants.
If there are not enough bookings for a particular date, we will notify you in advance and either offer an alternative date or give you the option of booking a private tour.
Private tours
A private tour can operate even with a single participant.
Only members of your own group will take part, and other participants cannot join.
Private tours can only be requested for completely empty time slots (green status), since joining an existing group would no longer be considered a private tour.
You can indicate your interest in a private tour during the booking process.
Please note that private tour pricing differs from the standard tour. See the Prices section for details.
What if your group has more than five participants?
Groups of six may sometimes be accommodated on a single tour, depending on availability.
For larger groups, we may be able to arrange multiple tour sessions.
What if two of you would like to join a tour that already has four participants?
There may still be space available.
Please contact us and we will see what can be arranged.
Which bookings should you look for if you are travelling alone?
Generally, tours that already have three or four participants registered (yellow status) are the safest choice, as your booking would bring the group to the minimum required size.
If you book an empty tour (green status) or join a tour with only one or two participants, you may need to wait until the minimum number of participants is reached.
There is also a chance that you may be able to join a fully booked tour (red status) as a sixth participant, but please contact us first.
Private tours are also available for solo participants, although different pricing applies. See the Prices section for details.
You weigh more than 110 kg. Can you still join?
Unfortunately not. The route includes some steep climbs where the scooters are only capable of carrying riders weighing up to 110 kg.
What happens in case of bad weather?
Safety is always our highest priority.
In the event of prolonged rain, storms or other adverse weather conditions, the tour may be postponed at the discretion of the tour guide.
Whenever possible, an alternative date will be offered.
Does submitting a booking request automatically guarantee a reservation?
The processing of bookings is not automated. Requests received for the same or closely timed departures are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. We review all requests promptly and will confirm your reservation by email or offer an alternative departure time if necessary.
Changing or cancelling a booking
If you already have a confirmed booking but something comes up and you can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible.
